We'll review the Chaser's specifications, pricing, and other features to find out what makes it so special. Whether you're a fan of classic Japanese cars or modern performance-oriented models, the Chaser is an excellent option that definitely warrants a closer look.

An Overview of the Toyota Chaser Car

The Chaser is a compact executive car produced by the Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation between 1977 and 2001. It was a significant part of Toyota Verossa cars, characterized by their sleek and sporty design.

Chaser was manufactured for people who wanted the luxury of Toyota Crown but at a lower price. It matched Crown in terms of comfort features, but users had to pay less tax because of its slightly smaller size.

Based on the Mark II chassis, this automobile was only available in Japan with its siblings, the Cressida and the Cresta. Most Toyota Chaser JDM models are hardtop and four-door sedans; a 2-door coupé was only seen on the first generation.

The second generation came in 1980 with a 2.0L 6-cylinder engine. Toyota added a four-door hardtop model between 1984 and 1989.

One year later, the third generation was introduced with a twin-turbocharged four-cylinder engine and replaced with a Tourer V -8 in 1992. The Toyota Chaser JZX100 is the car's final version, and its production ended in 2001.
